What are good ways to measure a player's progress?

As players start competing, basic stats such as putts and fairways hit add detail. Ask the coach how they share progress with you. Clear, regular updates help parents see what is improving and what still needs work.
At what age can a child start golf lessons?
Readiness matters more than a birthday. A child is usually ready when they can follow simple instructions, stay focused on a short activity and show real interest in hitting balls.
