Find the Best Junior Golf Coaches in Clermont, FL

Private lessons are built around an individual player's swing, goals and pace. An academy is usually a group setting that meets regularly, with structured drills, games and on-course play. The social side keeps many kids engaged, while individual lessons make it easier to work on detailed technical changes.

Keep it short, simple and fun. A little putting on the carpet or soft chips into a basket outdoors can reinforce what the coach taught. Ask your child to show you the main idea from the lesson, which helps them remember it. Try not to add swing advice of your own, since mixed messages can confuse a young player.

Very little to begin with. A few junior clubs sized to your child's height, including a putter, plus some balls and tees are enough. Add comfortable athletic shoes, a hat and water. Avoid cut-down adult clubs, which are usually too heavy and stiff for small players. It is worth asking a coach for advice before buying anything.
