What part do lessons play in preparing for college golf?
Lessons can play a steady, practical part. They give a player regular time to develop reliable skills, get ready for tournaments and learn from each round. Families can also read up on how college recruiting works, so they know which questions to ask. Roster decisions rest with college coaches, but good guidance makes it easier to set goals that match a player's ability and interests.
What makes a good junior golf coach?
Patience, clear communication and a genuine interest in young players. Strong junior coaches break skills into small steps, use games to hold attention and praise effort as much as outcomes. They set simple goals and explain them to parents too. Sitting in on a lesson is a practical way to see if the coach and your child connect.
