Find the Best Junior Golf Coaches in Newnan, GA

Keep it short, simple and fun. A little putting on the carpet or soft chips into a basket outdoors can reinforce what the coach taught. Ask your child to show you the main idea from the lesson, which helps them remember it. Try not to add swing advice of your own, since mixed messages can confuse a young player.

Less than you might think. Some coaches keep junior clubs on hand for students to try, so ask ahead. When you do buy, choose clubs made for juniors and sized to fit now rather than clubs to grow into, which can lead to poor habits. A lightweight bag, a handful of balls and tees, and comfortable shoes round out what a beginner needs.

Watch for gradual signs rather than big jumps, such as cleaner contact, a better sense of what to practice, or calmer reactions to a poor shot. Brief notes kept at home make progress easier to spot. Coaches can point to changes in technique and scores from practice games. If you are unsure, ask the coach to explain the current goals and how they plan to measure them.
