Meet Chris Armanini, Junior Golf Coach in Kahului, HI

At the end of 2019, Chris Armanini received the Aloha Section PGA Junior Development Leader award. In December 2016 he became a Class A PGA member, and he is certified in TPI Junior Development Level 2. As a player, Chris entered junior tournaments in Hawaii and on the West Coast, then played college golf at the University of Hawaii Hilo. In high school he contributed to H.P. Baldwin's first title at the HHSAA State Golf Championship.

Chris describes the TPI junior approach as developing juniors into athletes first and golfers second, with practice based on developmental age. He believes each golfer has an efficient way to swing, based on what that golfer can physically do, and that fitness should be tailored to each golfer's needs. Reviewers appreciate that he explains things simply and gives drills aimed at the issues he finds.
